Enjoy an evening on beautiful Casco Bay while taking in the sound of Portland's finest folk, bluegrass, and soul music in a purely acoustic setting. Beer + wine bar. Ellery Slone Barton and Louisa Stancioff, originally from Western Maine and now based in midcoast Maine, grew up singing with their older sisters. They learned everything from traditional American folk to dissonant balkan music, always with an intense focus on singing in tight, cohesive harmony. After their sisters left for college, they began writing songs together and took on learning guitar and fiddle. They have now performed on and off together for over 10 years, having toured through Alaska, played shows in North Carolina and all over Maine. These days Ellery often accompanies Louisa in her indie folk rock band (Louisa Stancioff) but they love the occasional fiddle/acoustic guitar show (especially when on a sailboat) to bring them back to their roots. Expect to hear acoustic guitar, fiddle duo original songs and tight two part harmony.
